The Restorative Hope College Scholarship Program, Inc.
The Restorative Hope College Scholarship Program, Inc. was established to assist minority students with purchasing college textbooks. We pride ourselves in leading the charge of providing financial assistance to graduating minority high school seniors who are faced with economic hardship and have demonstrated the ability to gain admittance into a college/university. We know that many families have been forced to adapt to the current times; therefore, we will work tirelessly to build hope and resilience in our youth.
As a non-profit organization, we serve as an advocate for our youth. We believe youth are the leaders of today; therefore, we endeavor to provide financial resources and support that foster and build a solid foundation that creates a lasting impact on society. Our motto, “Look not beyond the youth, for they are the leaders of today,” resonates in all global communities. We are leading the change and creating a better tomorrow for all in a world that is ever-changing, yet hopeful.

Scholarship Recipients
2024: Mr. Mauro Chairez-Jimenez
Mauro is a high school graduate from Thomas McKean High School in Wilmington Delaware. He spent 2 years at his school’s Patient Care Program, where he received his Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy Licenses. While studying for his Phlebotomy license he used his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license to get hired at Cadia Rehabilitation Center where he works currently. He was also avidly participating in his school, joining 2 of his school plays (Aladdin & Shrek), ran cross country and wrestled for his school. Being a student athlete, he also joined his school’s National Honor Society his junior year. Mauro plans to continue his education at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania as a Nursing major. We wish Mauro continued success in all his endeavors.
2023: Mr. Clauddavid Guerrier
Mr. Clauddavid Guerrier is a 2023 graduate of Thomas McKean High School. Clauddavid will be attending Widener University, located in Pennsylvania. A transfer student from Upper Darby High School, Drexel Hill, PA, Clauddavid is a Haitian American who loves to work out and run in his spare time. In addition, Clauddavid’s love of problem solving and taking on challenges led him to pursue Civil Engineering as his college major. Clauddavid plans to participate in various Internships opportunities and expand his Networking Connections before graduating from college. It is Clauddavid’s hope to gain employment immediately after graduating from Widener University and to become a successful Civil Engineer.

2022: Mr. Branden Wilmoth
Mr. Branden Wilmoth is a 2022 graduate of Thomas McKean High school, located in Wilmington, Delaware. As a student, Branden sought out opportunities that offered him chances to grow as an individual and build his interpersonal skills. He was a member of the Track and Field and Football teams and participated in the school-based business called Highlander Helping Hands. In addition, Branden served as a mentor to freshmen students who were struggling in adjusting to high school. In the community, Branden has provided babysitting services and serves as a mentor. He has created and built many relationships that has allowed him to become a leader in school and his community. Branden will be attending Delaware State University, beginning Fall 2022, after earning a GPA of 3.4. He will major in Accounting and looks forward to continuing his role as a positive role model.
2021: Ms. Destiny Voiers
Ms. Destiny Voiers is a graduate of Thomas McKean High School, located in Wilmington, DE. Destiny was born in Delaware, but moved to Pennsylvania shortly thereafter. She lived in Pennsylvania for approximately seven to eight years before relocating back to Delaware to be closer to her diverse mixed family. Currently, Destiny works two part time jobs and plans to start her next educational journey in the fall at Delaware Technical Community College. Destiny has ambitions of becoming a dental hygienist and plans to major in science.
Upon completing the graduation and licensure requirements to become a dental hygienist and gaining employment, Destiny hopes to start her own clothing line. She states, “My mom and two little sisters inspire me every day to be great and push me to be better. I appreciate them for all that they do for me and hopefully in the future I will be able to support my mother financially like she has done for me all these years.” We wish Destiny continued success in all her educational and professional endeavors.
2020: Ms. Khalia Hart
Ms. Khalia Hart is a graduate of Thomas McKean High School where she was a member of Rho Kappa (2019-2020) and the National Honor’s Society (2018-2020). In addition, Khalia was also a member of McKean High School’s Senior AVID class, and served as a mentor to her peers and classmates. Khalia’s hard work and academic excellence resulted in her making the Honor Roll List all four years of her high school career and graduating with an overall GPA of 4.174. Khalia’s academic excellence and leadership capacity transferred to athletics as well. As a member of the Lady Highlanders Basketball Team, Khalia was nominated as a Blue-Gold All-star, All-conference 2020, and served as Team Captain of the Lady Highlanders. Khalia’s interests are art, and basketball.
Ms. Khalia Hart will be attending Goldey-Beacom College where she will be pursuing her Bachelor Degree. We wish Ms. Khalia Hart continued success as she begins a new educational journey.
2019: Ms. Coryn Williams
Ms. Coryn Williams will be attending Norfolk State University starting August 2019 where she will be majoring in Computer Science. During her time at Thomas McKean High School, Coryn was ranked 10th in her class while taking Honors and Advanced Placement classes. Coryn was also an active member of the Girls Varsity Basketball Team where she was named Most Valuable Player three years in row and Outstanding Female Player. Awards and Accomplishments include Honor Roll recipient for four years, DIBCA Scholar Athlete, United States Marine Distinguished Athlete, and Restorative Hope, LLC Textbook Scholarship recipient.

Update for Ms. Coryn Williams
Ms. Coryn Williams has finished her first year of college at Norfolk State University where she earned a 3.5 G.P.A. During her freshmen year, Coryn joined the Freshmen SGA Cabinet as a Senator. She also became a member of the Spartan Sisters, a learning community that helped her with English courses and allowed her to establish lasting relationships with her peers. After reconsidering her lifelong goals, Coryn has decided to transfer to Temple University to further her education in Computer Science Education. Coryn feels she will have more opportunities to engage in a rigorous STEM Program that will foster her post-graduation endeavors. She is very excited to see what lies ahead for her in this new journey. We continue to wish Ms. Coryn Williams success in her educational journey.
